We believe in sustainable design that solves problems. We strive to develop progressive, efficient and original design solutions for the places we live, work, and play. These solutions are pragmatic and intrinsically dependant on the environments they are built in and are developed to sustain the ways in which we interact with our built environment.

We provide a full range of services for all project types. We look at each project from a holistic view, taking into account all aspects of the project. We work with our clients to ensure the project meets all requirements, and is on time and budget. We utilize our expertise to support our clients through the entire process from conceptualization to occupancy.

We are architects, designers and dreamers. We get excited about buildings, and we love design. Thuja Architecture Studio is a small firm located in Squamish BC. Our staff work on a variety of projects throughout this beautiful province. We believe excellence is achieved through a balanced lifestyle and we revel in creating amazing architecture and spending time with loved ones – mostly outdoors!

Thuja Design Studio Co was opened in the Comox Valley in 2007 and relocated to Squamish BC in 2014. The studio was reopened as a full service architecture firm in 2017. It is owned and operated by the Principal designer, Tanis Frame. Tanis is a LEED Accredited Professional and a registered architect with the National and Provincial Architectural Associations. She has design experience with architectural and design firms based locally and abroad and has worked on a variety of project types and scales; from public institutions and high end residential projects to mud houses in Africa. Tanis has a passion for design, the environment and the people who use them. She strives to design spaces that are beautiful, ecologically responsible and meet the needs of the client.
