The Nanaimo residence is located an a rock outcrop on top of Benson mountain. The design took into consideration the challenging zoning requirements and design guidelines while working with the clients specific program and site. The client required a home that would accommodate a wheelchair at a later time, meaning the home was designed to meet current accessibility requirements. The three bedroom home will function as a retirement home for an executive and his partner, as well as a home office. The home consists of vaulted ceilings with glulam structure and juxtaposition of hardi siding and douglas fir.
